I am a Certified Master Inspector® and have completed more than 1,000 inspections and/or hours of Continuing Education, have been in business for more than three years, abide by the Master Inspector Certification Board’s strict Code of Ethics, and have agreed to a criminal background check. I have been inspecting homes in Maine now for 11 years.
Being a Maine native, I take pride in calling this great state my home and I'm glad that you are going to be calling it your home too. Maine truly is one of a kind. Honestly, I love what I do as I get to meet new people like yourself and see every part of this magnificent state everyday.
When I am not inspecting, I enjoy spending time with my wife and 4 year old daughter. She is such a blessing and brings a tremendous joy to our lives. We also have two dogs, Murphy, a Labrador, and Duffy, a Boston Terrier. I also love being outdoors and enjoying what this great state of Maine has to offer! I was also an interior certified Firefighter and fire inspector in the town of Bridgton. It is challenging yet rewarding. I love being able to help my fellow residents and surrounding community members. I would encourage everyone that has ever thought about joining their local department to do so. There are many positions in the department, you don't have to be an interior firefighter. Fire police and support firefighters are greatly needed.
My qualifications include over 15 years of experience in the building industry, over five years as a facilities maintenance technician for Maine’s largest commercial building and owning a small business doing general contracting. I attribute many of my building skills to working hand in hand with my father, who was a master carpenter. He built numerous custom house and custom-built wood furniture. Regardful, my father passed away in the spring of 2022. He was a Veteran, SSGT, K-9 handler MP in the US Army. It is believed that exposure to Agent Orange may be a factor in his untimely death.
On top of completing hundreds of hours of building inspection training, I became a Certified Master Inspector® and am a member of InterNACHI, the largest home inspection association in the world. Unfortunately, in the State of Maine, we do not have licensing for home inspectors; so, please make sure the one you choose is a Certified Master Inspector® and in good standing.
One of the main reasons I became a Maine Home Inspector was to help people make an informed decision during one of the most exciting times in their lives. Before starting Brightech, I was asked by friends to join them and their chosen inspector to evaluate prospective homes. I was shocked to observe some of these "inspectors" showing up and not even equipped with a ladder or a simple flashlight. I knew I could do it better. I have personally experienced real estate transactions several times, from the selling and buying perspective. I know and completely understand how taxing it can be and asking yourself “am I making the right decision?” Well, I want you to be able to look back and know that you made the right choice for you and your family. I am invested in you and your family's best interests.

Qualifications
I am a member in good standing of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI).
I have passed InterNACHI’s Online Inspector Examination.
I abide by the Board of Certified Master Inspector's and InterNACHI’s strict Code of Ethics.
I follow InterNACHI’s Standards of Practice.
I fulfill at least 24 hours of Continuing Education and inspection-related training every year.
Additionally:
I own and use state-of-the-art inspection equipment, including a gas leak detector, CO detector and an infrared camera.
I am available evenings and weekends.
